Email Marketing Articles Worth Reading

1. Transactional Email Complete Comparison

This blog post might seem a little old but it still covers the topic very well.

Please, read the comments contributed by readers at the bottom.

If I find the more updated article, you know what I will do and where you can find it. Until then

2. Email Personalization – Progressive Profiling

Personalizing email is not a new concept. Well, if you are not doing it in your email campaign, you are actually behind the herd. Having said that, including first name in a subject line is not enough for effective personalization.

I’d like to share a blog post by Amy Mullen at Movable Ink about using live polls to create Progressive Profiling.

Nutshell: Ask subscribers a simple question in a form of gamification and send or offer a relative follow-up depending on the answer. What do you get? Of course, the detailed data about the subscriber will help to develop a better relationship between you and her/him.

3. iOS 10 and Email Marketing

Recently Apple released iOS 10 to the public and quite a lot of changes happened, and, of course, Mail app is not an exception.

Movable Ink (agileEMAIL – email builder platform provider) wrote a great timely article about this topic and I’d like to share this with other email marketers or DIY small business owners.

If you just want to know the changes in a nutshell: iOS 10 and Email Marketing

1. ‘Unsubscribe’ button will be located at the very top of any email for subscribers to find it easily.

2. You can remove Apple’s default apps including Mail app.

3. Subscribers can filter emails in Mail app by simply tab the filter button.

If you want to know more about these changes, their implications, and your possible actions to these, you can find the full article below.
