If you are very new to Instagram, either for your business or yourself, this article by Buffer (Alfred Lua) would be a very good starting point. This one covers from the setup to useful tools in details yet easy-to-follow steps.
One thing I want to point out before you click the link: I want you to make sure if Instagram is a right social media platform for your business. Many small business owners handle social media like Facebook and Instagram by themselves, and sometimes wearing seven hats really doesn’t allow them to spend a certain amount of time on each platform to be effective (either one post every other weeks or repetitive promotional posts wouldn’t contribute to your sales growth.) So ask yourself a few questions before you jump in like
- Am I in a visually attractive business that I can take advantage of Instagram?
- Can I provide the platform with content consistently (without spending too much time on creating it)?
- What do I want to achieve with Instagram?
- Are our current and potential customers using IG? and more.
So here is the article and please, leave your comment here about your experience or any helpful tips for fellow business owners. Good luck and thank you!
